Luca Belgiorno-Nettis AM

Joint Managing Director

Luca is Joint Managing Director Transfield Holdings with his brother Guido.

Luca has held senior management positions within Transfield Pty Ltd, including Associate Managing Director from 1999 to 2007, Regional Director Asia from 1992 to 1999 and Development Director at Sabemo from 1988 to 1989. He has a special interest in urban infrastructure and the politics related thereto.

He is a non-executive director of Transfield Services Limited, Campus Living Funds Management Ltd (CLFM) and Perisher Blue Pty Limited. Luca is also Chairman of the Biennale of Sydney, Chairman of the Art Committees at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and the University of Western Sydney (UWS) and Director of the Transfield Foundation. He is also a member of the Australian International Cultural Committee.

In 2007, Luca was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence at UTS for his contribution to Sydney’s culture. In 2004, he founded The newDemocracy Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation focused on political reform.

Luca was made a member of the Order of Australia in 2009 for service to the arts and to the community through a range of philanthropic endeavours and executive roles.

Luca holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Urban Estate Management from the University of Technology, Sydney.
