Rob McGill
Financial Controller and Company Secretary
Rob is the Group Financial Controller of Transfield Holdings and is responsible for financial management of the acquisition, integration and disposal of investments. This includes leading the Transfield Group Finance Team and managing group reporting, business analysis, business processes and treasury functions for major Transfield investments. After joining Transfield in 1999 he held the role of Manager, Financial Reporting until 2001 before becoming Group Financial Controller and Company Secretary until 2005.
Rob led the Campus Living Villages finance team from 2005 to 2008 and was directly involved in the acquisition and integration of the US business, the establishment of the CLV Fund in 2007 through an initial equity raising of $410 million from wholesale investors and a subsequent $155m equity raising.
Rob was the interim Chief Financial Officer for Novatec Solar from 2010 to 2011 during which time Novatec undertook a private placement and secured ABB as a 35% shareholder and secured limited recourse project finance for Novatec’s 30MWe solar thermal power station in Spain.
Prior to joining Transfield Rob worked in various chartered accounting roles for 11 years.
Rob has a Diploma in Accounting (Coventry, UK) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
