Campus Living Villages
Transfield took a 50% share in the student accommodation business Campus Living Villages (CLV) in 2004 and acquired the remaining 50% in 2005. At this time, CLV had approximately 600 beds.
Transfield established the Campus Living Villages Fund in 2007 and introduced institutional investors. Today, Transfield retains an 9.15%1 ownership and day to day management of the Fund.
Under Transfield’s management, CLV has grown its business both by acquisition and development. The Fund is now a global player in the field of student accommodation. As at 1 October 2011, CLV owns, manages or is developing over 35,000 beds for around 50 institutions in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
