Past projects and investments
Transfield has been involved in many significant infrastructure development projects across a range of diverse fields including defence, power and communications. Company operations have spanned the globe, with projects in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and the Middle East.
Transfield is perhaps best known for the development and construction of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel in joint partnership with Kumagai Gumi. A selection of other noteworthy past projects are detailed in Past Activities: the Melbourne CityLink, Sydney’s Airport Rail Link, Brisbane’s Airtrain, Macarthur and Yan Yean water treatment plants, Townsville and Collinsville power stations, the Walsh Bay Redevelopment Project and the Anzac Ship Project.
